Small groups is where the Church becomes a family. It is where the Church grows. It is how the Church serves. Come be a part of the Southern Hills community.
Even with His multitudes of followers, Jesus had His own Small Group of twelve disciples. They studied the scriptures together under Jesus’ tutelage and prayed together. Even after Jesus ascended to heaven, His disciples continued to meet together to form the church. We were never meant to do this alone!
“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” Prov. 27:17.Being part of a Small Group means that you have a group of people who will be there for you to encourage you, to challenge you, to hold you accountable, and to help you grow.
If you find that, like everyone, you struggle and sometimes fall in the Christian life, Small Group is a safe place where you can share your struggles. Your Small Group will give you access to the wisdom, experience, and prayer of others to help you in your daily walk. James 5:16 says, “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
